What Type of Blog Posting is Best?

Chris Garrett poses a very good question; “As a reader, what type of (blog) posting do you prefer?”

I think the answer to this question is fundamental to the success of any blog (dubbed social media) campaign. You see, as with all social media channels, the content of the site is core to whether the strategy will succeed or fail. This is something many design and technology-focused agencies tend to forget.

I’m of the opinion that any social media initiative needs to be backed up by a solid, consistent and dynamic content strategy that is created based on both the target audience and the blog author. The trick is to remain authentic and true to ones own writing style yet considerate to the blog’s readers taste and preference. It’s a fine lined technique that any good online copywriter tries to master every day.
