The TwitRelease is the Next Press Release

Like Todd Defren, I wish I had thought of this too!

In a nutshell, when it comes to social media relations, stories should be released using one-liners, which as Stowe Boyd says, will result in less “superlatives and buzzwords and get to the heart of the matter”. I love it. Here’s why…

The social media press release has it place. So does traditional PR. However, when it comes to pitching news to the social media community, nothing beats getting to the heart of the matter with as less fluff as possible. Then, as you’ve enticed them with an essential, to the point “elevator pitch”, you can use traditional and new media relations techniques to provide context, enlist support and create buzz online.
