Advertising That Changes Society

There’s something about certain advertising and marketing campaigns that gets to the core of who I am - and I am sure you are - as a person. And as you probably picked up from my post yesterday about Blog Action Day, I’m one of those people that believes that a lot of good can come out of using the power of media, be it traditional or otherwise, for societal change.

Media has the power to highlight important issues relevant to us as people, making you want to reach out and make a difference (however small), and think deeper about your place in life - something I call the longest and most memorable journey we’ll ever get to experience.

To me some of the best advertising is that which generates desired action by creatively penetrating the emotive part of human society - something that word of mouth is build on. I came across some examples to demonstrate what I mean.

Once a week, I’ll be sharing these with you. If anything else, I hope it makes you stop what you’re doing for a few seconds and takes you on a mental journey often blocked by modern society.
